In Greek mythology, a Phoenix is a long-lived bird that is cyclically regenerated or is otherwise born again. Associated with the Sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor.

We are all like this Phoenix, whenever we are let down, we rise up and try again and again until we succeed.

Phoenix, NITK was established to nurture the all round development of the students residing in hostels of NITK, Surathkal. This committee comprises of student representatives from all years and all hostel, lead by a convenor.
Phoenix Committee provides an opportunity to showcase their sporting ability, so that students can move out their academic pressure. Phoenix Committee helps the students to get a better exposure to sports and lead a fit and healthy lifestyle.

6) Instagram handling - Updating sports news
7) Know your team - A Instagram feature which introduces the sports team of NITK.
8) Online Competition - Dream 11 and Dribl

With 5 plus events, 8 plus competitions, 1000 plus participants and a footfall of 2500 per event,  50 plus Instagram posts, 1000 plus followers and 200 plus Instagram Stories, Phoenix is undoubtedly the biggest sporting extravaganza of NITK.
